  • Houston Cash had expressed interest in joining the club. Houston has fished 3 events with Joe to date. He had the choice to pro-rate his dues or pay in full and have all of his tournament standings added. Houston will become Federated in November when the club re-ups.
  • Houson was voted into the club, and welcomed by all members.
  • Don B. is going to the Roanoke river next week, and will secure 4 rooms for our Roanoke tournament.
  • Next tournament is at Kerr Lake, Hibernia Boat Ramp, blast off will be at 5:30AM, weigh-in will be at 2:30PM.
  • Meeting adjourned at 8:55PM

April Minutes

Joe cooked Boston Butts, Navy Beans, cabbage, hush puppies, tea and coconut pie.

  • Joe passed out the Hyco results as well as the to-date standings

  • S. Peoples has put the website up for club, and minutes will now be on site instead of passed out
  • Discussed that Joe, Danny, Don and Earl have all paid meal money, all others still owe.
  • Danny B. is now in possession of the club check book. Danny has been by the bank and updated the signature card, which now includes Joe J. and Danny B. only.
  • All info has been turned in and all money paid for 6 man team event.
  • Dave mentioned that everyone should start keeping a copy of boat insurance in boat. It will, or could be, asked for at random in state tournaments if you qualify.
  • Start time for Kerr Lake tournament is 6:30AM, end time is 3:30PM. We will be launching from the Hibernia ramp.
  • Meeting adjourned at 9:20PM

  • Next tournament is to be held on March 29th at Hyco Lake
  • Tournament time for Hyco was set to 7:00AM until 4:00PM weigh-in

  • Minutes were read and a motion was made by E. Perry to accept the minutes as written and was seconded by M. Aycock.

  • Danny read over the minutes that we had at the regional meeting in Burlington. These minutes also included the discussion of the federation tournament and our re-upping.
  • March 1, 2008 is our first tournament which will be at Lake Gaston
  • The blast off time will be 6:30AM or safe light, from the Summit ramp and the weigh-in time will be at 3:00PM
  • Discussion for our next tournament on March 29th, 2008 was at Hyco Lake
  • No other business. Meeting was adjourned at 9:05PM

Joe cooked BBQ Boston butts slicked pork shoulders with BBQ sauce, greenbeans, black-eyed peas, BBQ bread, tea and strawberry cake.

  • Meals were discussed. Joe suggests leaving the yearly price of our meals at $60.00 per member at this time. This is only $5.00 per meal once a month. If it looks as if the meals may cost more as we get later in the year, then we can add a couple ($2.00) each per meal if needed.
  • Our first tournament needs to start on March 8th, 2008. The lake location will be decided at our next meeting in February.
